Is "How I Met Your Mother" running out of steam and ideas?? It's a possibility as this may possibly be the worst episode I've ever seen of the show.
Plot On A Paragraph: Lily and Marshall throw a housewarming party, where Ted nearly comes to blows with Marshall's boss, and Barney hits on a divorcée neighbour.
Chris Elliot is a distraction as Micky Lily's Dad, he is simply too recognisable to me, and every time I see him, he takes me out of the show.
Normally any episode that features the brilliant Neil Patrick Harris as Barney Stinson heavily (and he does have a fair amount of screen time here) automatically raises the quality of the episode. Sadly this is not the case here, as while he always raises a smile, his storyline is silly and a bit disappointing like the full episode.
