This "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" is not the full feature film starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, but a television short film that runs for 43 minutes. It was directed by Doug Liman 2 years after the Hollywood blockbuster as the pilot episode for a television series, but this project was never continued. Liman also made the famous film. The title characters in this one here are played by Martin Henderson and Jordana Brewster. I am somehow familiar with Henderson, but I am not really sure from what. Brewster may be know to fans of the "Fast & Furious" franchise, so not to me really. All in all, this short film tries to be a mix of action, drama and comedy, but it rarely succeeds I must say. i did not really care for the characters or the chaos they caused and ended up in. Not a great watch in terms of story or acting and I cannot say I am mad that this wasn't continued. Thumbs down.
