Not Going Out: Death (2006)
Season 1, Episode 2
8/10
Death affects people in different ways.
11 January 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Tim arrives at the flat he leaves a message for Kate, his Nan has died, Lee tries to console Tim, without cracking any jokes. Lee passes the news on to Kate, she tells Lee he's out of touch with his emotions and gets him to see a therapist, she fails to fall for Lee's charms. Tim looks for Kate and Lee to accompany him to his Nan's funeral, Tim's hopes of getting Kate back fail, and Lee's therapist helps him realise that he has feelings for Kate.

Tim Vine's dead pan face worked so well with Lee Mack's cheeky Northern charm. The mix of American and British humour worked really well in this first series, it was a good balance, Megan Dodds was definitely up to Lee Mack and Tim Vine.

Loved the scene between Lee and his therapist, hugely funny, Lorelei King is a great performer and a very attractive woman, she didn't crack once to any of his funny lines.

Another really funny early episode, 8/10
