Review of Partners in Crime

The acting is fine, but...this is not Partners in Crime. The first episode, for one, is in fact "The Secret Adversary," the predecessor in the Tommy and Tuppence series to the actual Partners in Crime novel. Which...okay, I could get beyond that, but I CANNOT get beyond the fact that 1) it is set in 1952 instead of 1919, 2) Tommy and Tuppence are already married and have a tween-age son, not just falling in love and early in their marriage 3) David Walliams keeps using the pronunciation "TUPP-ence" for his wife, which LOOKS correct, but in the books her name is pronounced "TWO-pence," which I would not care about except for the part where, you know...the solving of the whole mystery does in fact hinge upon that issue. Did the writers read the books? Do they seriously think that they can IMPROVE upon Christie's original writing?
