Still never got over it being canceled mid-season in 1974...

Warning: Spoilers
Well, maybe I'm exaggerating just a little with my Summary Title. I started thinking about this show again because "The Grinder" was just canceled, and I realized that I wasn't this upset about a show being canceled since "Sons and Daughters." So that's how I got here.

The comments about the "anti-Happy Days" is an interesting one that I never thought about, but is probably true. I was 13 when I started watching this show, and I remember watching every one before it was canceled. And the good thing (or sad thing, I suppose) about this show is that I still remember almost all of the nine episodes that were aired, including: 1) the final episode, on whether Jeff and Anita will have sex 2) Anita's "reputation" episode. 3) Jeff's best friend mistakenly hits Jeff's Mom with a car. 4) When the dweeb dates the slut. It still has a line I never forgot, when the father says to the slut (Debralee Scott) because he thinks she might be sleeping around, "I want you to be able to get married because you want to, not because you have to." 5) Jeff's old girlfriend gets pregnant. 6) Jeff's Mom resents Anita 7) Not sure if this was in one of the episodes I just mentioned, but when they're trying to cheer Jeff up, and they watch a porn film entitled, "Snow White and the Seven Milkmen."

I too discovered this show after watching the TV movie, "Senior Year." I don't think this show was canceled because of lack of quality. I think it was canceled because no one knew it was on the air.
