In season 2, the latter episodes, the post production supervisor became bizarrely creative. There were musical tracks of an Earth Wind and Fire and even The Carpenters were used to close Ep 9. These up beat tempos really are out of character to depict the demented scenes the backed. It stuck me as a very odd choice-contextually inept come to mind! The usual Wagnerian romp would be more fitting; I am pretty sure it was not an attempt at comic relief?!? The frugal use of key props that were effective is a wasted opportunity- e.g the baby incubator which was very clever but down played by Michaels succeeding daughter was wasted. The unnecessary labelling of the time jumps depicted in thousands of days is very annoying and again a waste of footage; again I feel a post production liberty...maybe they had fired the Directors and let the post guys do the polishes?
