portrait of a village. fragments from the atmosphere of Transylvania under the Austro-Ungarian Empire domination. impressive performances. and the art of Nicolae Margineanu to explore emotions and decisions and lost of sense in a story about the fall of lives. the poetry of image. the admirable cinematography. the tension. and Manuela Hărăbor imposing the lead character with grace and convincing art of detail. a film who surprise. not only for its status in the last years of Comunist regime. but for the profound feel to translate the universe of a cultural space in the best manner. a lesson of high cinematography. touching, clear, strange and full of rare form of emotion. must see it. for understand an old way to discover and use the meanings of life.
