Review of Frequency

I was looking forward to this as I loved the film, but why, why, why do these show creators and directors make such a meal out of the drama. Mountains out of molehills springs to mind; like it was directed by a 13 year old girl with attention-seeking issues trying to milk every last bit of drama out of some of the scenes, or a singer who holds a note for too long because they like the sound of their own voice (or a program reviewer who doesn't know when to shut up, heh-heh). *Spoiler alert here for explanation purposes* - I really enjoyed the first episode and couldn't wait for the second, but when her mother came on the radio and she didn't answer, I'm afraid that finished it for me. Absolutely ridiculous beyond belief! I'm all for cliff-hangers and tension building, but after she 'ripped her father a new one' for not telling her mom the truth, then she doesn't speak to her when she comes on the radio???????...I tell you what...oooooooh!...I tell you what!!!...No, no I can't because the words just don't exist to express my blood-boiling, feverous exasperation at the total nut-job responsible for that scene.
