Review of Quarry

Quarry (2016)
2/10
Slow... a 90 minute movie stretched to 13 hours
29 October 2016
Why does it seem like more and more it has become acceptable to never get to the point of a story? It used to be that TV shows had a definite story and point to each episode. Now Quarry, like many others, just drone on as "filler" for the networks so they can turn a 90 minute story into 13 weeks of dull monotonous nothingness.

The story has some promise with the a Vietnam Vet struggling to acclimate to life back home. Reluctantly drawn into a murder for hire scheme by a fellow friend/veteran, Mac finds that his life after service will never be the same.

As previously stated, the characters and plot are all adequate, however each hour episode adds very little from the last. Weeks and hours must be committed to develop a very basic story line. Each episode has one or two developments but lacks that serious hook to keep you coming back for more. Its really not worth the time commitment.
