To date, "Snow Job" has not received any form of release on home video, and watching the movie it's pretty easy to see why. It's not without a little interest, I admit. There's the whole casting of champion European skier Jean-Claude Killy, supported by a cast of actors unknown on this side of the Atlantic, something I don't think a major Hollywood studio would gamble on today. And the skiing scenes do sometimes come across as spectacular, no doubt due to them being photographed by the legendary Willy Bogner. However, the movie as a whole falls pretty flat. There are a number of problems with the movie, but I think the main reason is that the movie for the most part is really boring. There's no spark, no tension, even during the long heist sequence in the middle of the movie. The cast can't even generate enough enthusiasm when they're given dialogue, not just non-actor Killy. You'd be better off getting ninety minutes of ski instruction from your local mountain resort.
