Mama mía! This is a seriously awful film and suitable only for people who may have never seen a movie before. The only thing that it has going for it is the fact that it is shot in a beautiful place and it has the name of that beautiful place in the title so if I leave that name out in my review there is nothing good about the movie. No amount of charming European street scenes could bring this film up to even a 4 star rating.
The story: Boy meets girl, kinda dumpy girl dumps him, he is sad and stays in charming city not nearly charming enough to rescue this script, boy plays moronic football game to prove that he's a real man even though sorta dumpy girl dumped him. Did I miss anything? If I didn't have a book to read and this movie were the only thing playing on a flight I would open a hatch, jump out without a parachute, and try to land on something soft.
