Musicians hunt gold, fight a madman, and Pecos helps out
19 February 2017
Warning: Spoilers
PECOS CLEANS UP is a direct sequel to the spaghetti western MY NAME IS PECOS and sees American star Robert Woods returning to the role of the Mexican gunslinging hero, this time finding himself involved in a hunt for gold treasure. This Italian western cheapie was made on the quick after the success of the first movie and seems to take place in just a handful of sun-scorched locations.

The plot sees a trio of mildly annoying musicians (think THE THREE AMIGOS) who arrive in town looking for the lost treasure of Montezuma, no less, which is supposedly hidden in the depths of a ruined Aztec temple. Standing in their way is the mad megalomaniac El Supremo, a crazed bandit with a fine line in destruction. Pecos joins forces with the musician to get his hands on the loot. Endless comic hijinks abound, along with some routine gunplay and some highly contrived situations; it's not a winner.
