Mother died today. Or maybe it was yesterday. I can't be sure.

Warning: Spoilers
Melanie Crow (Amy Crowdis) lives in the town of Hope. Her parents are dead, with her mother being a recent death. Melanie has fallen deep into an unhealthy melancholy mental state, conversing with a creepy doll. She has trouble caring for herself. She befriends Dukken (Robin Lord Taylor) the town Goth who she ignored in school. Kenny (Josh Caras), the shy kid who sells her pink Sno-Ball cakes, is crushing on her.

The story doesn't have much of a plot, nor is it very long. It is a character study of the moody, unpredictable, not exactly sane Melanie who creates a Christmas tree stringer out of razor blades. You sit and wonder, where is this going? I believe it is a film about closure, something everyone gets in different ways.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity. Cult film for a limited audience.
