The Vampire Pyramid Scheme
10 February 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The gang's back together in "Disharmony" but they have a tagalong in the form of the new-to-town Harmony. Despite Harmony being a vampire and all, Cordelia protects her and tries to include her in the gang. When they uncover a vampire pyramid scheme involving capturing humans, they must rely on Harmony to get them on the inside. Can she really be trusted?

A cross-over episode involving a brief phone call with Willow, along with Harmony's departure from Sunnyvale after her & Spike's breakup, this one never feels like it really gets going. Half of this episode is about Harmony bumping into stuff and causing general confusion. We still see that shallow portion of Harmony, even at the end when she wants Cordelia's approval after she attempted to kill her.

The actual plot of this episode involving the vampire life coach is pretty silly (I'm still not sure how the pyramid scheme even worked). But it's basically used as a time-killer and a device to allow Harmony to betray the trust given to her by Cordelia. This is the main takeaway from "Disharmony".

Note: The final scene of Angel winning back Cordelia's heart by buying her a bunch of new clothes is lazy screenwriting. I know that Cordelia is suppose to be some sort of ditsy character obsessed with appearances but I really think she's matured beyond this in the past 2 seasons of Angel. This scene no longer felt consistent with her character, especially since she was extremely upset with Angel earlier this episode. Like I said, lazy...
