Amiable

Warning: Spoilers
Unlikely twins Peter (upight proctologist) and Kyle (laid back, living in Hawaii on royalties from his image on a sauce bottle) strike out on a road trip to look for their mysterious father on discovering that their freshly married mother had a bit of a chequered past.

Ed Helms and Owen Wilson play strictly according to type in this road trip buddy comedy. This means that Wilson's easygoing bonhomie defuses Helms' constant barely-suppressed anger, and Helms' tightly focused determination sharpens Wilson's vague lackadaisicality.

The potential Dads they encounter along the way include a retired football player, a skip tracer/car thief, and a legendary cop. On the journey people get met and lessons get learned. You know the sort of thing. At least, you do if you've ever seen this sort of movie before.

It's amiable, raunchy in the modern style, there are some pleasing development arcs for the two principals, and some funny stuff from JK Simmons and Christopher Walken. There are no great surprises but then, did you expect any?
