A woman famous for her cookbooks is hiding a secret from America: she doesn't know how to cook! While she always references her family and farm in Connecticut, she actually lives alone in New York. So, when her publisher arranges a good-will publicity campaign for her to have a war hero over to her Connecticut home for Christmas dinner, she's got to hire a pretend family-and learn how to cook-fast!
