I'd forgotten about this terrific sitcom until coming across it on IMBD today. This late 1970s/early 1980s retelling of the Cinderella story was a favorite, one I looked forward to every week.
As did many of its fans, I never understood why it was cancelled until now when I read other reviews. Apparently, a big reason was that it fell victim to the old time-slot shifting game which confounded viewers.
"Angie" had great actors, interesting story lines, well-written scripts and, best of all (for me): the city of NEW YORK as a real character. Loved this show and so dismayed that it isn't available to view anywhere!!!
