LOST CITY RAIDERS is a typical mish-mash of elements from The Sci-Fi Channel. The main plot is set in a world following the apocalypse, a la THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, with the twist that the planet has been flooded out. James Brolin plays the leader of a team of salvage hunters tasked with unearthing a missing priceless artefact from one of their wrecks; the story goes from there. As with many similar TV movies, this is light and inconsequential stuff, hardly designed to test the intellect. There's a lot of movement but little in the way of action or suspense, with things just kind of plodding along until the end. Elodie Frenck gives an arresting performance as the mechanic but that's all you're getting here.
