Weird Love Triangle...
18 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
In "Apocalypse, Nowish", plagues and odd occurrences are popping up everywhere in the LA area foretelling the appearance of the demon from Cordy's vision. She is convinced that the world is ending and nothing can stop it. Fred is still coping with the murder of her old professor by Gunn and no longer feels comfortable around him. Cordy and Connor run into the demon but cannot stop it. Angel, Gunn, Lorne, and Wes track it down and try to kill it to no avail. Fire begins to rain down in LA apocalypse-style. Thinking this is the end, Cordy sleeps with the ever-devoted Connor as Angel pulls a Peeping Tom through window.

Gross. I do not need weird love triangle dynamics involving a son, his dad, and practically his step-mom in my vampire drama. They've been hinting at it for a while but this is the episode where it's just officially gross. I get the sentiment of "world's ending, let's just do whatever" but go find other characters to bone during the apocalypse.

The appearance of the big baddie also felt premature to the seasonal arc. I feel we needed at least a few more episodes to ratchet up the tension but it all happens very suddenly. Things are going to be weird from here on out I'm assuming...
