Watching "Legend", I wanted to slap Ridley Scott for having such an extraordinary vision at his finger tips and completely failing to put it to the service of any kind of story.
"Legend" is a beautiful fantasy that just becomes hopelessly, tiresomely boring. I have no idea what it was about, and I've only just finished watching it.
The movie is a "dark fantasy", perhaps less because of its themes - since I don't know what those were - than its colour palette, which is very dark.
It would have worked as a photography book on a fantasy theme. It doesn't work as a movie.
