Sunset Heat (1992 TV Movie)

Warning: Spoilers
MIDNIGHT HEAT isn't a particularly bad film, it's just not that impressive either. It's a dark thriller in the vein of BASIC INSTINCT complete with mastermind villains, lengthy and gratuitous sex scenes and an edgy hero with dark and brooding looks. The sunny coastal background helps to add to the film's visual appeal. Michael Pare is the good looking hero, arrived in town to meet an old buddy, played by Adam Ant in a fun over-the-top performance. Unfortunately a local drug boss is robbed and goes on a murderous rampage to get his stash back. Dennis Hopper shows up virtually repeating his role from BLUE VELVET while Little Richard randomly cameos and Tony Todd's a henchman. It passes the time, but you'll have seen better.
