An Engrossing Film. More Than I Expected. A Complex Tale w No Dialog. Fun To Watch.

Leave your preconceived notions at the door, and enjoy this film.

These IMDB reviews for 'One Million Years BC' are a good example of how most people 'just don't get it'. I didn't expect much more from this movie than some sexy scenes of Rachel Welch. It turns out, Raquel Welch isn't even the most attractive woman in the film - the curvy blonde from Raquel's original cave community is MUCH more attractive, and both women make the film worth watching. With that said...

This is a great movie. The special effects are passable and rather entertaining. The main draw here is that these actors tell a complex tale of aging, competition, survival, love, jealousy, and honor - and they tell the tale with no use of language. Throughout the entire film, there are only a handful of words - most being nonsensical to the viewer. Most casts from this era couldn't pull this off, and most writers wouldn't even try to pitch the idea. Kudos to everyone involved with this project.

Try muting the film and putting on a modern orchestral soundtrack - like the Wonder Woman Soundtrack (2017), or The Game of Thrones Season 7 Soundtrack (2017)... Or, go old school with Dark Side of the Moon.
