Does An Admiral Job As A Psycho
5 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I saw "The Intruder", starring Meagan Good-Shazam!, D.E.B.S.; Michael Ealy-The Perfect Guy, the Barbershop movies; Joseph Sikora-Power_tv, Jack Reacher and Dennis Quaid-A Dog's Purpose, G.I.Joe:The Rise of Cobra. This is a little psycho/thriller that is not all that original but it is executed very well. Meagan and Michael are a young couple that are fed up with the city life and go looking for a house in the country. It just so happens that Dennis is selling his country estate, after his wife passed away from a long struggle with cancer. Dennis tells the couple that the house has been in his family since his grandfather built it but he needs to let it go and move down to Florida, with his daughter. The problem is that he just can't let go of the house. Dennis pops up all the time-to mow the yard, hang decorations, etc.-and it's usually for some lame excuses. Michael begins to think that there might be something wrong with Dennis-Duh!-and even Joseph, Michael's best friend and co worker, thinks Dennis is a little nutso. There is not much new material here but Dennis does an admiral job as a psycho, especially when he gives that creepy grin of his. It's rated "PG-13" for violence, terror, language and sexual content-no nudity-and has a running time of 1 hour & 42 minutes. I enjoyed it and would probably buy it on DVD.
