Review of Paperback Hero

I'm Australian, and I watch a lot of movies, but Australian cinema is pretty rubbish bar a few gems. This movie is filled with scenes that don't have any impact on the main story and are just nonsensical. The actors try hard with a story and script which are both lacklustre, and I found both of their characters to be more annoying than interesting. You can see that it's trying really hard to be a romcom, but it doesn't deliver in either of the genres. So the final kiss between our two mains results in a prolonged scene devoid of any emotion for the viewer.

Overall, if you're watching because you're a Hugh Jackman fan, then I'd recommend skipping this one.
