Sock 'em Dead (2015)
6/10
Solid zombie fun

Warning: Spoilers
"Sock 'em Dead" is a 6.5-minute live action short film from 2015 written and directed by Robert Rodriguez. And you also see him briefly as this is a little behind-the-scenes spoof from his television show From Dusk Till Dawn. All the action takes place on set. Actress Madison davenport plays herself and when she enters the mask/make-up room, she finds the two guys in charge there as well a guy who is apparently less in make-up than they initially thought he would be. Yep, there is a real monster / real zombie on the set and he keeps killing people one by one before Davenport herself comes up with a most unlikely weapen to fight him off. This was not too great honestly, shame that the moment the title is referring to is maybe the most ridiculous (in a bad way) of the entire film. Everything before and after that is okay, so I would say the good here is more frequent than the weak and it is all in all a good little movie by Tarantino friend Rodriguez. Also pay attention to the very brief cameo by Danny Trejo (also playing himself). That would be all then. I give this little movie a positive recommendation. Go watch it, especially if you like the show and/or people this is linked to. In my very case, I must also say that Davenport's stunning looks did not hurt one bit.
