Frustrating to watch - With a cop-out ending
10 July 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Piero is a gay man who has been with Remo for 14 years. Piero has cheated on Remo with other men. Yet, suddenly, without having ever displayed any bisexual tendencies, Piero "falls in love" with a woman named Adelle. The woman predictably becomes pregnant. The ending is that Piero "loves his man (Remo) more than ever," but he also loves Adelle, and wants to keep sleeping with both as the three raise the child together, happily ever after. You really have to go to great lengths to suspend disbelief. It is a frustrating film to watch when you realize this is a fence-sitter movie that is trying please the gay and hetero communities of Italy. In the end, they disappoint both. And it was painful to watch good actors like Luca Argentero, Claudia Gerini, and Filippo Nigro struggle to try to make the plot believable. Fail.
