Review of Public Eye

Public Eye (1965–1975)
8/10
Clever plots and fine acting
15 July 2019
I remember my parents watching this series when I was a kid. I didn't take to it at all back then, probably due to the downbeat atmosphere and often grubby dealings on show. However, having watched a couple of episodes on the UK channel Talking Pictures, I am impressed by the acting talents of Alfred Burke and the clever and sometimes complicated plots. Probably not to the taste of the younger viewer, but great to watch as each story unfolds and also to see some of the character actors who feature in each episode. Usually included are one or two location shots of 1970s England, which is a bonus.
