My good Friend Vicki has watched every season of "Vera.I had a vague memory of seeing Season One, so I started now with Season Two. I liked it for the lack of glamour, the camera work, the scenery, and the few nods to humor amid the grim landscape (both physical and psychological.) I have no idea, however, what the heck happened. Reviews don't reveal the details and I have no inclination to watch it over again. What was Vera's relationship with her old superior? Right from the get-go the mystery was confusing. Why did he kill himself? Was he mentally deranged or what. Characters were introduced willy-nilly. The teacher (got short shrift as an actress for sure, Stella was unconscious through an hour and twenty minutes, and the young man : I don't even know who he was, or why he was in the mix. I liked Rose Leslie (Lena Holgate) was she the culprit? I don't know who threw the fire bomb. Atmosphere A, Plot line D.
