One part is a realistic portrayal of the lives of paranoid schizophrenics living through and fuelling various conspiracy theories, their small radio stations running the constant schtick of "aliens" and "but maybe it's the mainstream media who's manipulating the evidence" and of course the classic of "sheeple".

Another, and connected part is a weak paranormal subplot of no importance.
As a former "believer" that first part of the movie gets 6 - 7 stars from me, and the bad paranormal plot twist gets it 2 starts subtracted.
