A Decent Vehicle For Elvis To Sing a Few Numbers
14 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
(Flash Review)

Working in Acapulco, Elvis gets fired because of bratty teenage girl. A confident little boy helps him get a job as a lounge singer. Within the first half hour he had caught the eye of a famous female bull fighter, Ursula Andreas (first Bond Girl), and that attractive bratty teen. The movie is full of short little musical numbers and the two older women vying for Elvis's attention so jealousy is abound. The story is substantial enough to make it feel more like a movie than a musical....thankfully. There are many light comedic moments but I have never seen Elvis act before and I'd say he is as good as any other singer who tries acting. This was easy and fun.
