Confusing story, difficult to follow with red herrings that led nowhere and characters introduced midstream. Incidentally,
Stuart looked surprisingly unmarked for someone who had leapt to his death onto a hard concrete floor 4 stories below. No blood. No smashed face. A perfect corpse.
My biggest gripe is we didn't find out who disconnected the oxygen mask? Was it the teacher? She was the only one with a motive. Too bad that the assailant's devious effort resulted in the girl miraculously reviving. Shades of Murdoch Mysteries.
And what was the point of the misleading start? Unfair, I say!
I actually replayed the last half of the episode to see if I had missed some clues, but I hadn't. Too clever for its own good. Or just plain, ungarnished sloppy scripting.
Dish up one more like that and I won't bother watching again. Pity. Vera is an interesting, if flawed, character. Human.
