I think Irma la douce is a perfect example of how to give a good presentation of characters. Billy Wilder knew how to write incredible scripts and in this film he shows, in my opinion, how he was far ahead of his time. Burning out of police corruption, and creating an unreal world where prostitutes enjoy their work. What is right in this world is not, and is punished.
