Review of My Life

My Life (1993)
7/10
Touching and overly sentimental with strong performances
15 February 2020
A middle aged man played by a strong Michael Keaton discovers he's dying and starts to record life lessons for his unborn child. Nicole Kidman is also wonderful as his wife. The movie is overly sentimental to it's detriment at times. But because of the talent involved it manages to rise above it and deliver something entertaining and moving. It's no doubt that the film is a tear jerker and it definitely succeeds at that but it's at it's best in it's small moments when it explores just how important the small things are.
