Joe Dante's 1978 horror film features an investigator and mountain man who try to stop genetically-mutated, piranha that swim up river where they start chomping on campers and vacationers. This is obviously a rip-off of "Jaws" which is ok, but is a bit flat. It does have some bloody/gory make-up effects and a great score by Pino Donaggio as usual. Dante's frequent collaborators, Dick Miller, Kevin McCarthy and Belinda Balaski appear.
If you're into creature features or B movies, give this a try.
