So many flaws - SPOILERS!!

Warning: Spoilers
First of all, this review contains spoilers, because it's aimed at people who've already seen the film, and I just want to share with you my thoughts about the movie.

So we won't bother about the synopsis. We all know that. So I'll just get to my thoughts. I did give the film 6 out of 10. It wasn't a great film, but it was watchable. Despite it having many flaws.

The first one is the the multiple bags reveal, which I thought came far too early in the film. From memory it comes about 30 minutes into the film which left 1 hour 10 minutes for stalking and the kidnap. Which meant a lot of filler...needless conversations, scenes.

I think the handbag reveal should have came much further into the film, say about an hour in. We could have seen the relationship develop between the old woman and the young girl, into an intense one, bordering not on mother daughter love respect, but on a lesbian infactuation. I'm not saying we should have seen lesbian scenes. But for me the mother daughter attraction, the older woman felt didn't ring true.

Secondly, the detective had to be the worst ever. He knew the girl was most likely to be held at the old woman's house. He knew that, so why didn't he draw his gun earlier? Why foot around. Acting like a clown. The cops also knew - or must have known, the prime suspect for the girl's disappearance had to be the old woman. So why have a private detective?

Also, the scenes in which the old woman is following the young girl's flatmate around. First in the nightclub, then in the subway and on the bus. Taking pictures but not being seen at all. How did the old woman get on the bus without being seen and be sitting at the back of the bus. Ridiculous. It was a joke.

Of course when the young girl had the chance to knock the old woman out and chop her finger off, she did like all stupid horror brain dead people, and leave the dangerous one time to recover. Don't give me that trash.

The ending was a bit of a surprise. I thought the flatmate posing as a potential victim was good. It was a saving grace in a film that was poorily put together.
