Steele Wool - Proof that a big Hollywood budget isn't needed to make a good film
14 March 2020
Steele Wool showcases the talents of writer, producer, director and staring actor Frank Capello. This indie film is proof that a big Hollywood budget isn't needed to make a good film. It is a passion project which is well worth a watch! At times the low budget is apparent but having said that, this indie has qualities that some Hollywood blockbusters lack!

It is an enjoyable film. There are moments where you are so engaged that you can't look away and there are moments where you find your mind wondering elsewhere. For me, the opening was the weakest element of the film... It dragged a little too much. Once the opening credits were shown, the film sprung to life and gained pace!

I enjoyed the lead actors and loved the dynamic between the characters of Daphne and Tony. Their relationship worked on so many levels. They took you on a journey with them... they made you laugh, at times they frustrated you... they were likeable, loveable and real.

Steele Wool is very watchable. It is a great movie in many ways... my biggest criticism would be the lack of pace in places.

Good story line, great characters ... worth a watch!
