enjoyed it but too much moments that refer to the classics

Today I saw the trailer on netflix telling me, this one is for you. Okay, La Marca Del Demonio or translated The Mark Of The Devil (once a good 1970 flick) got my attention. Has seen it, i don't really know what to think about it because,

It's a low budget clearly and coming out of Mexico, not a flick standard, it wasn't that bad after all. But it's a mixture of a lot of flicks. The hospital check-up, and the possessed girl, yep The Exorcist. Talking about Necronomicon, yes, The Evil Dead. and I can go on and on.

Started off good for me I did get confused with the character with his head and his friend, the addicted priest. Sometimes I thought, what the hell are you doing in this flick. So storywise, a rare one.

Further they did use gory moments, the headshot was well done. The crucifix scene is the goriest one, the fight scene's are a bit strange.

So overall, clocking in at 80 minutes it was over before I knew it but it's mediocre feeling due the attempts to add a bit of the classics didn't work always. It's not that bad, but a lot of horror geeks will turn this off.
