Peter Pan Makes An Unconvincing Gender Switch
6 April 2020
Without question - One of the most surprising (and, yes, equally peculiar) things about this silent-era production of J.M. Barrie's "Peter Pan" is that its title character is portrayed by a female (18-year-old actress, Betty Bronson).

Never once did I believe (while watching Bronson's performance) that she wasn't female. And, this, in a sense, proved to somewhat mar the overall ambiance of the story (IMO).

Anyway - (With that said) - From a historical perspective - I'd say that this 95-year-old fantasy/adventure story (and its old-old-old school visual effects) was certainly worth a view, for the most part.
