Warning: Spoilers
In "Deadly Honeymoon," the filmmakers are successful in creating the ambience of a lavish wedding followed by a spectacular cruise to Tahiti while simultaneously developing some of the sleaziest characters imaginable.

There is key line spoken by the vivacious protagonist, Lindsay Ross Forrest, as she is being questioned by an FBI agent about her missing husband, who happened to fall overboard into the Pacific Ocean. Lindsay tells Agent Merced that she is accustomed to getting whatever she wants in life. All she has to do is to picture an outcome in her mind and then will it into being by the force of her personality. Translated into cinematic terms: Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets!!!

There was good suspense on board the cruise ship as a night of gambling and carousing results in Trevor's disappearance. After a thorough search, it is concluded that he fell overboard. Search and rescue quickly turns into search and recovery. Trevor is eventually declared dead.

But who done it????

At first, it appears as if three Hungarians with checkered pasts may be suspects after Trevor flew into a jealous stupor when Luka was dancing with Lindsay. One thing may have led to another. But the disheveled cabin and blood on the pillow suggest at the least some foul play.

The wily Agent Merced pieces together the true story, only missing a motive in the killing of Trevor. The catty Lindsay cuts a deal with the oily ship's captain to be flown by helicopter to Tahiti. A deal is cut, and Lindsay receives an improbable three-million-dollar settlement from the cruise line.

The performances were excellent, and the costuming was superb for a television movie that did not have the budget of "Titanic." The filmmakers also subtly implied that travel on a cruise ship has resulted in unresolved crimes, primarily against women, as there is little legal recourse in international waters on a ship flying under the flag of Liberia. In the case of the fictional "Deadly Honeymoon," will Lindsay take her secrets to the grave? Or, will the FBI agent in the halter top get lucky with a final clue to answer the question: What really happened to Trevor?
