My Three Sons (1960–1972)

My Three Victims

Fred MacMurray had zero charisma. He was not a warm or friendly father. He was some kind of pseudo-intellectual who enjoyed reading the newspaper around his kids. He never played ball, took them out riding a bike, or did any normal father-son activities with his three "sons." Fred MacMurray was the anti-father, the last person anyone would want for a Dad.

Add in creepy Uncle Charlie, the old man who was the live-in maid and den-mother of the three kids, and you have another weirdo dimension of two old men who are not interested in children or fatherhood, raising three boys.

The three kids kept their doors locked at night. This was back in the days before there were school counselors available for kids to discuss bad things that happened at home. My Three Sons were on their own with creepy Uncle Charlie and their weirdo Dad roaming the house at night.
