Review of The Last Time I Saw Paris

This has a pretty good cast but I felt the script was poor and the director the wrong person for the job. To be fair to the film I watched a poor dvd but I doubt it was ever a great film. Elizabeth Taylor does little in this film and Van Johnson looks older than his 38 years. The story is the usual Fitzgerald,drunk Americans in Paris,although in this the good time don't last long for anybody. I watched Love Is A Many Splendoured thing recently,that seemed a better film of this type. This director better doing action film?
