Shanghai Surprise is a pleasant surprise especially with the soundtrack and negativity behind it; it's unfortunate the movie bombed so much I like it. The writing is definitely the worst thing about it once that's voided out the rest is pretty awesome! The movie tries to be like other movies and gets away with it better than I would've ever thought. Really should be given more of a chance even for a one time viewing and possibly whilst high or drunk.
