In poor taste

Warning: Spoilers
This is the first time I've ever seen "The Nightcomers" which is the prequel to "Turn of the Screw". The film itself was slow and I didn't get the two children, who both lacked emotions or couldn't act very well. It might've been their characters because they didn't grieve much when they heard their parents died, well the girl did cry a little but she seemed more upset when the frog died. Then the boy with the android personality plots with his sister. That scene of Quint and the governess was pretty gross anyway because there are children in the film but oh well it was perverted 70's era. The boy adores creepy Quint. The film was made by Michael Winner, so what else to expect really. Then the frog scene was just a way of showing Quint is NOT a hero. Both children are cold and they each kill Quint and the governess though some warped idea that they'll stay forever. A boring film mostly with some boobs to keep audience interested.
