An exciting snowy adventure with unseen horror.

Warning: Spoilers
Two very different leading men offer memorable performances in this adventure yarn that focuses on the search for the Yeti in the Himalayas. Peter Cushing and Forrest Tucker are very different in every way possible, but they must work together to survive the natural dangers of the mountains covered and slippery slopes and possible avalanches while dealing with bandits and the Unseen creature called a Yeti. You hear the growl of something but are never quite sure what it is, and when they do entrap something that they think is a Yeti, it is quickly proving that they are wrong. But something is indeed out there, and that's where the mystery lies.

While their team consists of more than just the two of them, there are several fatalities along the way, and some of the victims look on at what will be the cause of their deaths, basically accepting it even if fearing it. One of the victims Falls many feet to the rocky slopes below, and there is no way that anybody can survive a fall like that.

There are caves, mystery creatures, mystery men and of course the bandits shooting at them randomly. When the Yetis finally do appear, it's like Richard Conway in Shangri La finding his lost horizon. The danger comes from the unknown and the natural environment which does not discriminate, only taking those who do not follow their rules. Even though there are long periods without dialogue and just the sound of the mountainous wins, the film never becomes dull or ponderous, and I have to say that this is the best of the dozen or so Yeti movies that I have seen.
