Review of Funny Cow

Funny Cow (2017)
6/10
Well acted but the usual depressing look at north England life
24 September 2020
I didn't know what to hate more the beast-like working class men with misogynistic treatment of women, or the heroine of the film who totally chokes up on stage when we were expecting something special from Maxine Peake, who, in any case , turns in a bravura performance.

I don't know why most films set in north of England have to be so bleak. This is not a comedy.
