Evil rancher Jeff Grant knows there is gold on Ellen Carter's ranch and is determined to have it. He and his henchmen have run off all the cow hands except foreman Bill Morgan. The Ranger and Tonto enlist Pedro Martinez and Pete Lacey to work at Ellen's ranch. Pete and Pedro are two cowboys who are as good with their fists as they are with their guns. They beat off one attack by Grant's henchmen. But he will try again and is sure to make things plenty hot for the good guys. John Parrish plays Grant and he seems to be doing a bad impression of Cary Grant. I expected him to say "Judy Judy Judy!" at any time. Lovely Sheila Ryan plays Ellen Carter. A couple of years after this episode was filmed, she married Pat Buttram, Gene's Autry's long time sidekick and who will be forever remembered as Mr Haney on Green Acres. A good entertaining episode with plenty of comic relief.
