The Ranger and Tonto investigate who is raiding the supply trains for the Washita Indian Reservation. Tonto goes to see his friend Chief Swift Eagle while the Ranger talks to Father Batista. The army assumes that renegades from the reservation are stealing the supplies. Actually, the crooked Indian agent plans the raids, which are committed by a gang of army deserters hiding out at a nearby cave. It's up to the Ranger and Tonto to figure out this puzzle. The episode portrays the Indians as good guys and innocent victims being victimized by unscrupulous whites. Gene Roth plays the leader of the deserters. He made a great 1950s western villain and his character here is totally ruthless and unlikable. Once again, Gerald Mohr provides the off screen narration.
