Blue City (1986)
5/10
SPOILERS good story.. needed some fix up

Warning: Spoilers
Spoilers ** So many glaring holes with this. So our star Billy (Judd Nelson) FINALLY convinces his high school pal Joey (David Caruso) to help him go after a local crime boss. Joey gets blown away, but the sister isn't mad at all... she snuggles up to Billy for comfort. If someone convinced my brother to get involved, and killed, I'd be pretty mad and tell Billy off. and at the end, Billy just jumps on his motorcycle and seems to ride off into the sunrise. Really? his prints were all over the place. and after busting up the casino, everyone in town knew he was gunning for Kerch (Scott Wilson). and... the only person looking out for Billy's back is now also dead on the scene. and for having a bad leg, Joey sure runs around the casino and the streets without any problem. There IS a good story, buried in here, but the screenplay needed cleaning up. or maybe the wrong things were left on the editing floor. To be fair, it was Michelle Manning's first directing film, and she had worked with the brat pack gang a couple times already, but not as director. Showing on Epix channel... but i don't think it will be showing on netflix...
