Michael Crichton wrote many great novels, on Rising Sun he helped adapts to screen with the director Kaufman, Sean Connery and Wesley Snipes shares the top billing of a good supporting casting, however it were enough, the plot is whatsoever disjointed and complex, thus remains the leading roles saves the movie, well Wesley Snipes wasn't suitable, then on Connery 's large shoulders lays down all hope, thru his charisma and acquaintance of millennial Japanese culture he assets some trustworthiness on the defective screenplay, in others words, many quarrels for almost nothing, somewhat has some moments, the picture exposes many social commentaries about both opposites society, firstly the director displayed many homeless on the streets and shows as the whole building of the Nakamura is made in Japan and assembled by their own Japs employers, a sort of criticism to bring those foreigner company on American ground without any offsets, leaving the jobseekers ostracized, second by the cultural clash, once more it was blatantly exploited on many scenes, bringing a warning message, also to hold up they deploy an excessive tasteful nudes and sexy scenes, somehow by Japanese's request, alluding some decaying behavior by Asian, in this poisoned environment the fictional story unfolds, the movie owe to Mr. Connery has avoided an attainable failure!!
