"The Beguiled" is a Drama - Thriller movie in which we watch an injured Union soldier finding shelter in a Confederate girls' boarding school. Since they afraid of him and because he is an enemy of the American Civil War, they imprisoned him. As time passes and he gets better, the feelings of the women for him will change and their actions too.

Since I had already watched the new version of this movie I knew what to expect from this movie. I enjoyed it because it was much better than the new version since it presented more realistic not only the influence of war on people but also how war change them. The interpretation of Clint Eastwood who played as Corporal John McBurney was very good and very different than all the other movies I have watched him play. Some other interpretations that have to be mentioned were Geraldine Page's who played as Martha, Jo Ann Harris' who played as Carol and Elizabeth Hartman's who played as Edwina. Finally, I believe that "The Beguiled" is a nice movie to watch and I suggest you to watch first this version and afterwards the new one of 2017.
